Director and Producer, Rocco Leo Gaglioti, takes you behind the scenes of the Miss Deaf International Pageant held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Being a CODA himself (Children of Deaf Adults), he takes you through the journey and experience of the deaf culture seen through Rocco’s eyes and experienced by the contestants. The documentary also shows the challenges of having to come to another country with an interpreter that is able to understand the American Sign Language (ASL) used in the US as well as their home country’s sign language. It shows the frustrations and trials that the contestants go through not only with the pressure of the competition of the pageant but also the struggles with each other.
